This amazing vocalist started out as a drag performer, who did an astounding visual and vocal incarnation of the beautiful Marilyn Monroe in the mid 1980s, he finished performing as her and in drag in the mid 1990s and now performs his own songs as himself.
Jimmy James still performs many of his vocal impersonations on stage including a chillingly perfect Judy Garland (has to be seen and heard to be believed) and also Bette Davis, Liza and Cher.
Jimmy James is massively known amongst the beautiful and knowledgeable, and if you get a chance to go and see him perform, you must....he is astounding, charming, funny and unforgettable.
I've added a few mixes here of his massive hit single 'Fashionista' that is available from iTunes etc...and on various soundtracks.
Taken from Jimmy James' debut album 'JamesTown' which you really should own, it's excellent!
